Award of a Major New Project – Engineering for the Phase VI Expansion, San Andrés Mine

We are pleased to share excellent news: Solum has been awarded a major new engineering project for Aura Mining (MINOSA). This is a significant event for our company and a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.

The project is titled: “Basic and Detailed Engineering for the Expansion of Phase VI of the MINOSA Leach Pad, San Andrés Mine” (Engineering for the Phase VI Expansion, San Andrés Mine). MINOSA is a mining company that operates the San Andrés Mine, an open-pit heap leach gold mine in Copán, Honduras.

What does this project entail?

The main objective is to develop the basic and detailed engineering required for the expansion of the Leach Pad in Phase VI. This includes preparing the necessary designs for construction and facilitating the permitting process.

This project aligns with our engineering staff’s experience in designing leach pad facilities, including in regions of high seismic activity and high rainfall, such as those found in Central America.
