IN-PIT TAILINGS STORAGE FACILITY (IPTSF) FOR FÉNIX PROJECT

The client required the development of a modification to the existing Environmental Impact Assessment for the placement of in-pit tails (IPTSF) from the proposed heap leach reprocessing project.

Solum’s Scope

Solum managed all the aspects of the permitting required for the in-pit tailings storage facility for the Fenix Project (formerly called “El Gallo”). Solum developed a wide range of technical studies including industry experts to support the modification to the environmental impact assessment and therefore, obtain the necessary environmental permits. The scope included a field investigation and the integration of the hydrogeological, geochemical, risk, hydrology and tailings management studies.
