Expanding our services abroad – Feasibility Study for a Nickel and Cobalt Processing Facility in Philippines
Solum Consulting Group is supporting Eramen Minerals Inc. (EMI) in developing a feasibility study of an “Ore-to-Nickel and Cobalt Processing Facility” in Santa Cruz, Zambales, Philippines, to advance their environmentally sustainable efforts. This project received a $1 million research grant awarded to EMI by the U.E. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). Our Solum team and Qualified Persons (QPs), Joel Carrasco, PE, and Rodrigo Carneiro MS, PE, visited the site the first week of October 2023, to kickstart the study and meet with the EMI Team and the Santa Cruz Mayor.
Solum’s proposed Feasibility Study will be focused on the EMI Ore Processing Project with an anticipated production of around 3,500 tons per day (tpd) based on the current production rates. We are thrilled to be part of this important effort advancing the Philippines’ clean energy goals and implementing high-quality technical and environmental standards.
